Room

There was a time when I played Lands of Lore. This game and all the other adventures games, mostly text adventures, inspired me so much that I thought I would like to write something similiar.
This was the result, a game where you wander through rooms.
Similiar to RPG/Adventure games you can pick up items, equip them and use them or lay them back on the floor if you like to do so. There are a few types of enemies, regarding to the source code (see screenshot), but as far as I can remember only three of them were shown, the ratman, the orc and the great lizard. The rooms, weapons, equipment and so on were not hard coded, but changeable via lines of DATA as one of the screenshots shows it. Maybe one little story, I tried to work on Room II, wanted to enhance the first version, but let it go because reading the code – I remember many lines of IF statements – and amending it was too complicated and I gave up. ![]()
